BASI Pilates Barcelona

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and all services provided by BASI Pilates Barcelona (“the Studio”). They are designed to protect both our clients and the Studio and to ensure a safe, professional, and respectful environment.

By booking, purchasing, attending, or participating in any session or service at the Studio, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

The Studio reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be effective upon publication on our website.

2. Studio Policies (Incorporation by Reference)

Our Studio Policies form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

These include (but are not limited to):

  • Cancellation and late arrival rules

  • Payment, refunds, and package validity

  • Studio etiquette and equipment use

  • Dress code and fragrance-free requirements

  • Behavioural standards and safety rules

Clients are required to review and comply with the Studio Policies available on our website under the Studio Policies section. In the event of a conflict, these Terms & Conditions take precedence.

3. Health, Safety & Medical Responsibility (PAR-Q)

Participation in Pilates involves physical movement and exertion.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.

  • You may be required to complete a PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) and/or health intake form before attending.

  • You must inform the instructor prior to each session of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, post-natal status, or changes in health.

  • The Studio reserves the right to refuse participation if it is deemed unsafe for you to take part.

Participation is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. If in doubt, consult a qualified medical professional before attending.

4. Assumption of Risk

By attending sessions at the Studio, you acknowledge that Pilates involves inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, injury, or aggravation of pre-existing conditions.

You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages arising from participation.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Spanish law:

  • The Studio, its owners, instructors, employees, and contractors shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in studio activities.

  • The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

  • Clients waive any claims against the Studio except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

You may be required to sign a liability waiver prior to participation.

6. Refusal of Service

The Studio reserves the right to refuse or terminate services without refund if a client:

  • Fails to comply with Studio Policies

  • Acts in a disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate manner

  • Appears under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Poses a risk to themselves, instructors, or other clients

7. Personal Property

All personal belongings brought into the Studio are done so at your own risk. Secure storage areas are provided, but the Studio accepts no responsibility for loss or damage.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Studio’s website and within the Studio — including branding, logos, written materials, imagery, class formats, and training methodologies — is the intellectual property of BASI Pilates Barcelona or its licensors.

No materials may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Spain.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona.
